Description
A day at Southwold crabbing, fish and chips at Mrs T's and blasting across the North Sea on Coastal Voyager

What a fabulous day - the weather was kind to us, the sea nice and calm - Marcus and George skippered the two RIBS for our 12.00 and 14.00 "blasts" across the North Sea.  Vicky Gladwell provided the crabbing lines, nets, buckets and bait for FREE - (thank you Vicky) and Chris and George at Mrs T's arranged Fish and Chips for us on the dot at 12.45 which left Caroline and Alex from Suffolk Family Carers and Lions Kev, Andy, Geoff, Rob, Ivan and Rita to have a fabulous day out - Oh and I think the kids rather enjoyed themselves as well.

As happens, we planned for 24 young carers but were a little down on numbers on the day which meant Tania and Nastyia were brave enough to step into the breach.

Lots more images by clicking here plus a video but there is a risk assessment on watching the video which requires cotton wool in both ears to dampen the noise of the screaming !

First task - catching some of these

Luckily we had some champion Lion crabbers with Kev, Ivan, Rita and Geoff helping to untangle the lines - add the bacon and lure in those crabs

Not long before the crabs succumbed to the bacon !

If you also look on SmugMug , the very first image is in fact a brief video but there have to be some risk assessment steps that must be taken before viewing -  first insert cotton wool into ears before you press 'play'

Most of the screaming seems to have come Geoff, Rob and Caroline on the back row!

Quick Lunch stop at Mrs T's for the best fish and chips in Southwold - now that's 12 fish and chips, 8 sausage and chips, 2 fishcake and chips.........Chris and George at Mrs T's had everything ready for us

So a big thank you to Chris and George for the delicious lunch - 24 pre-ordered Lunches at probably their busiest time of the day!

Let's get those massive engines powering up

coastal_voyager_2016-08-05_13.46.54_low_res.jpeg

And we are away nice and gently until the harbour mouth and then George opens up the throttle .......

Hang on - you have no idea which way the RIB is going next left, right, full circle crashing through the waves the rib had just made and then the skipper chased another boat
